As a custom plastic containers manufacturer, MGG group has always adhered to the concept of sustainable development and used recyclable plastics in terms of plastic raw materials.
Traditional plastics are more harmful
Plastic has always been favored by the society because of its light weight, good comprehensive performance, and easy processing, and is widely used in various aspects of industry, agriculture, and people's lives. Currently commonly used plastics, including polyethylene, polyvinyl chloride, polypropylene, etc., are all made of petrochemical products as raw materials. These plastics are structurally stable and cannot be biodegraded, causing great harm to the environment.
Plastic, which was once known as the "white revolution", has now become the chief culprit of the world's "white pollution". For example, the extensive use of agricultural plastic mulch not only accelerates the erosion of the land, but also accelerates the loss of toxic pesticides, and causes greater harm to the areas passing through.
Although plastic waste can be recycled and reused, due to the large variety of plastics, they need to be sorted and processed, which increases the difficulty of recycling and the recycling rate is not high. Therefore, plastic waste is mainly disposed of through landfill and incineration.
Landfilling of plastic waste will occupy a large amount of land and affect the sustainable use of land. Moreover, chemical additives (such as heavy metal compounds) used in the plastic production process and food organic matter left on plastic packaging boxes will produce leachate and cause groundwater pollution.
Direct incineration of waste plastics not only produces a large amount of black smoke, causing a large amount of greenhouse gases to be discharged into the air, but also decomposes toxic substances (such as dioxin, chlorine, etc.), causing serious secondary pollution to the environment.
Considerable environmental and economic needs
The production of biodegradable plastics is currently in its infancy worldwide. According to the degradation mechanism, degradable plastics can be roughly divided into photodegradable plastics, biodegradable plastics and photo-biodegradable plastics. Among them, photodegradable plastics are relatively expensive and can only be degraded under light. They are greatly restricted by the geographical environment and climate, and the buried parts cannot be degraded. They will eventually withdraw from the stage of history.
Biodegradable plastics with degradable characteristics have attracted the attention of researchers from all over the world, and have become the main research and development direction and industry development direction at present.
