One of the biggest questions we get from brands is: "Can you really make
any
shape I want?" The answer is a resounding yes – thanks to our in-house custom mold design service. We know that off-the-shelf tubes work for some, but if you want to truly stand out, a custom shape is the way to go. Here's how the process works, step by step:
Step 1: Share Your Idea (No Design Experience Needed!)
You don't need to be a designer to have a great idea. Maybe you've sketched a rough shape on a napkin, or you have a mood board full of inspiration images. That's all we need to start. Our design team will sit down with you (virtually, of course) to understand your vision: Do you want a tube that's curved to fit the hand? A hexagonal shape for better grip? Or maybe something totally unique, like a tube that doubles as a keychain? The more details, the better – but even if you're not sure, we'll ask the right questions to guide the process.
Step 2: 3D Modeling & Prototyping
Once we have a clear idea, our engineers will create a 3D digital model of your tube. This lets you see exactly how it will look from every angle – no guesswork. We'll share the model with you for feedback, and we'll make tweaks until it's perfect. Then, we'll 3D-print a physical prototype using a durable resin that mimics the feel of the final plastic. This prototype is fully functional, so you can test the twist mechanism, check the cap fit, and even fill it with a sample formula to see how it looks.
Step 3: Mold Testing (We Cover the Cost for Small Adjustments!)
Here's where we go the extra mile: we offer free mold testing for custom designs. Once the prototype is approved, we'll create a test mold and produce a small batch of tubes (usually 50-100 pieces) using the actual production materials. This lets you test for things like durability, color consistency, and how the tube feels in bulk. If something isn't quite right – maybe the twist mechanism is too tight, or the color is slightly off – we'll adjust the mold at no extra cost. We want you to be 100% happy before we move to mass production.
Step 4: Mass Production (With Quality Checks Every Step of the Way)
Once the mold is finalized, we'll start production. Our factory runs 24/7, so we can handle even large orders (100,000+ tubes) with quick turnaround times. But speed never comes at the expense of quality. Every batch goes through multiple checks:
-
Material inspection (to ensure no defects in the plastic pellets)
-
Production line checks (our operators inspect every 100th tube for shape consistency)
-
Twist mechanism testing (we twist each tube 50 times to ensure smooth operation)
-
Final packaging check (tubes are packed in protective trays to prevent scratching during shipping)
The best part? We keep your custom mold on file, so reordering is fast and easy. No need to go through the design process again – just tell us how many tubes you need, and we'll get started.
