At our
iso9001 certified packaging factory, we don't leave leak-proof performance to chance. Every step of our production process is designed to eliminate leaks, from the initial design to the final shipment. Let's walk through our process:
1. Custom Mold Design & Prototyping
If you're looking for
custom 10ml 15ml 30ml roll on bottles, our team starts with a detailed mold design. We work closely with you to understand your product's viscosity (thick like lotion or thin like oil?), the intended use (travel, daily use?), and your brand's aesthetic. Once the mold is designed, we create a prototype for you to test—this includes checking the fit of the roller ball, the seal of the cap, and, of course, the leak-proof performance. We offer free test molds so you can see and feel the product before mass production starts.
2. Material Selection
The material of the bottle body is just as important as the roller ball. For leak-proof performance, we use high-quality HDPE or PET plastics that are resistant to cracking and warping. These materials also form a tight seal with the cap and roller ball assembly, reducing the risk of leaks. For brands that need medical-grade or food-safe packaging, we use materials that meet FDA and GMP standards—so you can be confident your products are safe for your customers.
3. Dust-Free Production in GMP Compliant Workshop
Our production facility is a
dust-free GMP compliant workshop, which means every bottle is made in a clean environment to avoid contamination. But this also helps with leak-proof performance—dust or debris can get stuck between the roller ball and the bottle neck, causing leaks. By keeping our workshop clean, we eliminate this risk entirely.
4. 100% Quality Inspection Before Shipment
This is the most critical step in our process. Every single bottle we produce goes through a series of rigorous tests to ensure it's leak-proof:
-
Pressure Test:
We fill each bottle with water (or a liquid similar to your product's viscosity) and apply 0.5 bar of pressure for 10 seconds. If any liquid seeps out, the bottle is rejected.
-
drop Test:
We drop each bottle from a height of 1.2 meters onto a concrete surface (simulating accidental falls). After the drop, we check for cracks or leaks.
-
Temperature Test:
We expose bottles to extreme temperatures—-10°C (for cold storage) and 40°C (for hot climates)—for 24 hours each. This tests how the bottle holds up in different environments, as temperature changes can cause materials to expand or contract, leading to leaks.
-
Shake Test:
We shake each bottle vigorously for 1 minute (simulating being in a bag during travel). If no liquid leaks out, it passes.
Only bottles that pass all these tests are allowed to be shipped to our customers. We don't cut corners with sampling—every bottle is checked, so you can be sure that the products you receive are 100% leak-proof.
Let's share a quick story to illustrate this. A few years ago, a client came to us with a problem: their existing roll-on deodorant bottles were leaking at a rate of 5% per shipment, which was costing them thousands in returns and customer complaints. We analyzed their bottles and found that the gasket in the cap was made of a low-quality material that broke down easily. We redesigned the cap with a thicker, more durable gasket and adjusted the fit of the roller ball. After switching to our bottles, their leak rate dropped to 0%—and their customer satisfaction scores went up by 25%. That's the difference our quality inspection process makes.
