2. Barcode & Batch Coding: Precision You Can Trust
Barcodes aren't just for inventory—they're for peace of mind. Our vials feature high-resolution barcodes (typically Code 128 or DataMatrix) applied using thermal transfer printing, a process that ensures the code remains scannable even after repeated LN2 dips and autoclaving. Each barcode is unique to the batch, allowing for full traceability from production to end use. Plus, every vial comes with a unique serial number and batch code, making it easy to track lot information, manufacturing dates, and sterilization details—essential for compliance with ISO 15189 (medical laboratories) and ISO 20387 (biobanking) standards.
When you're storing biological samples, sterility is non-negotiable. Our

undergo rigorous sterilization processes, including either ethylene oxide (EO) gas or gamma irradiation, to ensure they're free from bacteria, fungi, DNase, RNase, and pyrogens. We also use silicone gaskets (not rubber) for the caps, as silicone maintains its flexibility in extreme cold, ensuring a tight, leak-proof seal even after multiple freeze-thaw cycles. The result? A leak in a cryogenic vial isn't just messy—it's dangerous. LN2 can cause severe frostbite, and leaking samples can contaminate other vials in the storage dewar. That's why our vials feature a precision-engineered thread design (both internal and external options) and a silicone gasket that creates a hermetic seal when tightened. We test each vial design for leak resistance by submerging filled vials in LN2, shaking them, and checking for any signs of leakage. Only after passing this strict test do they make it to production.
